What is an Education Generation Fellowship?
We strive to provide access to transformative learning opportunities for both our scholarship recipients and Fellows. Our Fellowship Program gives students and young professionals the rare opportunity to learn from, and work alongside, Education Generation scholarship recipients. Our Fellowship Program has 3 main components:
The Fellowship begins with distance learning followed by intensive training at the Education Generation offices. The curriculum has four main pillars:
- Leadership
- Communication
- Country-specific learning
- Organizational mission and strategy
For the next 6 weeks, Fellows work at Education Generation partner organizations in one of the 10 countries we work in: Afghanistan, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Kenya, Pakistan, Peru, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Uganda. Fellows engage in interviews with our students, gather media, data and learn about the work of our partners on the ground.
After the Fellowship, Fellows share their key learning with each other as well as with the Education Generation team. Fellows are also expected to engage with their workplaces and universities. We welcome Fellows as core members of the Education Generation team and provide opportunities for ongoing engagement with our partners and organization.
